Happy Friday everyone!
Recently one of my sweet friends asked me to write a post on my go to mascara. If you’re like me you’ve tried loads of mascaras from drugstore to high end and everything in between. The ones I use daily have been my tried and true for years now. No matter which new ones I try I always find myself going back to these, if its not broke why fix it right?
You can get these from any drugstore, though the price differs from each place the average is around $7 per tube. I also have my tried and true higher end mascaras that I’ll be posting about soon so keep a look out!
The first thing I do before putting on mascara is curl my lashes! This is an absolute must for me. The difference it makes is huge and even on days I don’t wear makeup I’ll still curl my lashes to give me a bright eyed awake look. The curler I use is from the brand Beauty 360 and I bought it at CVS for $4.99. This thing is magical! I’ve tried other brands but this one curls my lashes to the heavens like no other!
The first mascara I apply is to my bottom lashes using The Mega Plush Volum’ Express by Maybelline. It gives me just enough volume and the wand is easy to maneuver on my lower lashes and the end is tapered to get the little teeny baby lashes on the inner portion of the eye. I then use Maybelline’s Illegal Length Fiber Extension mascara on the top lashes. I love this because it puts fibers on your real lashes for added length. I then go in with Maybelline’s The Falsies Volum’ Express. This gives me great volume and the wand is curved for some added curl.
None of these mascaras ever clump on me and they don’t flake off. They keep my lashes looking long and full all day. 3 different mascaras might seem excessive to some but for me each one does a little something different and makes my lashes look great without having to wear falsies.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading my post, look for my higher end picks soon and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for daily makeup/beauty pics!
